In 2010 the Columbus module completed two years orbital operations on early 2010. Thermal and hydraulic aspects provided a challenging test bench for the engineering team supporting the flight operation, in terms of time response, correct prediction and interpretation of to the various issues raised. Evaluations for future payloads, stages and support to daily activities are the main areas involving the engineering support. Most of these tasks rely on the use of dedicated mathematical models, originally developed to support the review phases, from development to acceptance and fitted to current flight configuration. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
