Combined effect of glyphosphate, saccharin and sodium benzoate on rats

Abstract: Herbicides and food additives are included in many food products for humans. Non-used products or products beyond their expiry date are deposited in places of utilizatioin of solid municipal wastes, where they can take effects on the organisms of mouse-like rodents. Among the herbicides, glyphosphate takes first place in the world for volume of production, and is the most intensely used in agricultural farming. The discussion about negative impact on the organisms of mammals, especially against the background … Show more

“…Different toxic substances absorbed by living organisms cause primary reactions at a molecular level that later occurs at all the highest levels of a biosystem's organisation. As a rule, pronounced multiple ecotoxic effects are accompanied by different deviations of animal behaviour, population parameters and species abundance (Newman & Clements, 2007;Peterson et al, 2017;Lieshchova et al, 2018Lieshchova et al, , 2019. Ecotoxicants cause changes in mortality, reproduction, community characteristics and other parameters of biosystems at any above species level (Clements & Rohr, 2009;Van de Perre et al, 2016;Schäfer & Bundschuh, 2018).…”

“…), and also in construction, in goods for medicine (parts for blood transfusion system, Petri dishes, additional disposable instruments). In pure state these polymers are inert and non-toxic, but in the process of their production, harmful stabilizers, salts of heavy metals and other technical additives are used, which negatively affect the human organism of after being introduced to it (Halden, 2010;Lamontagne, 2012;Norh & Halden, 2013;Boyko & Brygadyrenko, 2017;Lieshchova et al, 2018). Apart from the problem of safety in the process of production, many chemical additives which provide needed properties for the produced goods also negatively affect the ecological situation and human health (Anon, 2007;Koch & Calafat, 2009).…”
