Merabti Salem

Abstract: This study examines several buildings braced with L-shaped shear walls, with and without corner columns. In this case, the L-shaped shear wall consists of two walls, each with vertical rectangular openings. At the same time, three wall thicknesses 15cm, 20 cm, and 25 cm were used in buildings of 4, 7, and 11 stories. A comparison was made between walls with and without columns based on tensile stresses and dynamic shear forces at the base of the buildings.
