, and was subsequently awarded his Ph.D. by Simon Fraser University in 1993. He then held a series of research fellowships at the University of Queensland, before moving to Queen's University Belfast in 2006, and to Trinity College Dublin in 2011. His research focuses upon human brain plasticity, with a particular emphasis upon changes that occur across the lifespan. Alison R. Buick received her Ph.D. degree from the Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland. Her doctoral work was focused on novel interventions using electrical stimulation and physical therapy for stroke survivors. Her current research interests are in the integration of technology with healthcare, particularly the use of in-home, mobile EEG.
