Combined subharmonic and ultraharmonic intravascular ultrasound imaging

Abstract: Abnormal proliferation of the vasa vasorum has been implicated in the rupture of atherosclerotic plaques. Imaging the vasa vasorum could help clinicians identify rupture-prone plaques and guide the choice of therapy.
