Combining 3D-MOT with motor and perceptual decision-making tasks: conception of a life-sized virtual perceptual-cognitive training paradigm

Abstract: The present study introduces a virtual life-sized perceptual-cognitive paradigm combining three dimensional multiple object tracking (3D-MOT) with motor (Experiment 1) or perceptual (Experiment 2) decision-making tasks. The objectives were to assess the impact of training on task performance and to determine the best training conditions for improvement and learning.Seventy-one participants were randomly trained under one of four training conditions (isolated 3D-MOT task, 3D-MOT simultaneously combined with a d… Show more

“…The detection method can be an oral response or the same way as Watson et al (2011) and others’ research on the perception of the “accessibility” of the gap between two close defenders in the football game, through the perception of judgment (press the button) task, of course, when setting the intervention task. The response time given in the setting of decision-making tasks can also be adjusted according to the accuracy of participants’ decision-making, and the changed content and form will also help improve decision-making skills to varying degrees ( Romeas et al, 2019 ).…”

“…In Table 3 , the 3D-MOT training method is also worth noting. Romeas et al (2019) introduced a virtual reality perceptual-cognitive paradigm, which combines three-dimensional multi-target tracking (3D-MOT) with motion or perceptual decision-making tasks. Four different training schemes were used in the experiment, which was conducted in a fully immersive virtual environment.…”

“…The air force on badminton can actually be divided into three different directional components, respectively, the badminton flight process by the various resistance X, to prevent the badminton due to the influence of gravity and vertical downward landing lift Y and make the badminton deviated the lateral force Z [9]. During flight, the force on the badminton is related to several factors, which are the area of the badminton and the pressure of the air flow [10].…”

“…( 9), the trajectory information of the badminton and scene information of the image are embedded into the input of the model, and the hidden layer state of the network at the last moment is taken as the depth motion feature of the objective. According to this motion feature, the P out corresponding to the most likely location of the objective in the future is generated [28].…”
