Abstract:The effect of a weak electric field on the flame of a Bunsen burner, including the case of an aerosol consisting of water microdroplets in an air-methane mixture has been studied in detail. The propagation velocities of the laminar flame have been determined. If the stabilization area (burner edge) and the flame tip are excluded from consideration, the average propagation velocity of a laminar flame in the absence of an electric field is constant.
