Comfortable Patient’s Room Design in The Hospitals: Benchmarking to Five Star Hotel Rooms

Abstract

Balıkesir Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Dergisi environment of hospital rooms to patient satisfaction and loyalty. In addition, in the study, the initiatives stimulated by Ministry of Health in order to promote "5 stars hotel rooms" concept is examined within the scope of Health Transformation Program. When the relevant regulations are examined, observed that it is kept in the forefront of the physical properties as the location and dimensions of materials in the patients rooms and less attention has been paid to the necessary room requirements for the use of patients. It is observed that comfort is more important than detail on the physical characteristic in the hotel rooms.
