Commissioning of the ATLAS Inner Tracking Detector

Abstract

On behalf of the ATLAS Inner Detector CollaborationATLAS (A Toroidal LHC Apparatus) is one of the experiments installed on the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC), where first collisions are expected in September this year at a reduced center of mass energy of 10 TeV, for the collider commissioning. In this paper, a short description of the Transition Radiation Tracker, of the SemiConductor Tracker and of the Pixel detector, which all together form the ATLAS inner detector, is given, and we discuss their first commissioning results. We conclude with the plans until the LHC start-up.
