Common peroneal nerve schwannoma, a rare cause of sciatica - Case report & review of literature

Abstract: Schwannoma typically a slow-growing tumour that bears the reputation of the most common benign peripheral nerve sheath tumour. Sciatic nerve schwannoma is rare (1%) tumour that can manifest with symptoms of sciatica (1). Diagnosis of schwannoma is often delayed, notably when presents with symptoms of sciatica (1- 4).
