“…We accept this hypothesis as leisure pursuits for our sample of school-aged children with Down syndrome were largely sedentary and solitary. Our findings parallelled those of Putnam et al (1988) for youths and young adults with Down syndrome aged to 31 years (Putnam et al, 1988). The most common leisure pursuits were reading (29.8%), computers (26.4%), drawing (11.5%), games and musical instruments (8.65%), and singing, dancing and music (8.2%).…”
