Abstract:Although Lake Kanyaboli provides a sanctuary for fish species that are considered extinct (e.g., Oreochromis esculentus, Oreochromis variabilis and Haplochromis spp.) in Lake Victoria, comprehensive data on species diversity and abundance are lacking.
