Comparative Analysis of Natural and Cytochalasin B-Induced Membrane Vesicles from Tumor Cells and Mesenchymal Stem Cells

Abstract: To date, there are numerous protocols for the isolation of extracellular vesicles (EVs). Depending on the isolation method, it is possible to obtain vesicles with different characteristics, enriched with specific groups of proteins, DNA and RNA, which affect similar types of cells in the opposite way. Therefore, it is important to study and compare methods of vesicle isolation. Moreover, the differences between the EVs derived from tumor and mesenchymal stem cells are still poorly understood. This article comp… Show more

“…As vesicles contain intracellular proteins and are formed outwardly, the proteome of vesicles could be distinct between naïve EV and artificially induced CIMV. [24,25] The majority of NK cell-derived vesicles possessed an immunological phenotype equivalent to that of parental NK cells, as shown in previous studies, [26][27][28] or even improved protein contents with granzyme B and FasL in NK-CIMVs.…”

“… 21 Because CMVs can maintain the functional activity of surface receptors and cytosolic proteins derived from their parent cells, they have been widely investigated in cellular signaling and communication in recent years. 22 , 23 However, the effects and underlying mechanisms by which the combination of BMSC-derived CMVs and EC-derived CMVs promote bone regeneration are still largely unknown. Here, we successfully prepared human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells derived CMVs (BMSC-CMVs) and human umbilical vein endothelial cells derived CMVs (EC-CMVs), which contain biologically active molecules derived from their parental cells (Fig.…”
