Abstract:The article presents a review of the of the advantages of using ormokers in comparison with composite filling materials from a chemical point of view. Ormokers are a modified type of hybrid organo-inorganic dental materials. They were developed in order to reduce polymerization shrinkage of filling materials, improve edge adaptation, abrasion resistance and increase biocompatibility (compared to composites). The new matrix was obtained on the basis of inorganic polymers, which are polycondensed siloxanes (trib… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
