Abstract:Pulse oximetry is a non-invasive, indirect, continuous and cheap method of monitoring and evaluating the peripheral oxygen saturation in a clinical setting. Operative dental procedures involving the patient often involve fear and anxiety which may lower the oxygen saturation in the blood resulting in hypoxia.
