Comparative Study of Laparoscopic Hysterectomy With Total Abdominal Hysterectomy

Abstract: BACKGROUND Hysterectomy is the second most commonly performed major surgical procedure on women all over the world, next only to caesarean. The purpose of the present study was to compare the outcome between laparoscopic hysterectomy and total abdominal hysterectomy regarding duration of surgery (minutes), postoperative pain, drop in haemoglobin postoperatively, intraoperative and postoperative complications and hospital stay.
