Comparative Study on MSMA Actuation under Electromagnetic and biased-Magnetic Fields

Abstract: A comparative study on the effect of magnetic shape memory alloy (MSMA) under electromagnet and biased field has been carried out numerically and experimentally. The influencing parameters, magneto-strain, power efficiency and time response have been considered. The intensity and uniformity of the magnetic field are predicted numerically incorporated in the experimentation.
