Sustainable agriculture practices are known as the best techniques by which to cultivate crops. To ensure the continuity of such practices, farmers should accept and apply this method on their yield. There is an abundance of international studies which have found that attitude, knowledge and support are the main factors to impinge on the acceptance of sustainable agriculture among farmers, but studies on the same scenario are lacking for Malaysia. Filling this research gap is the main objective of this study, which seeks to elucidate the relationship between attitude, knowledge and support towards the acceptance of sustainable agriculture among contract farmers in Malaysia. This is a quantitative study, and a total of 326 respondents were involved in the data collection process. The data were gained through a developed questionnaire. The resulting analysis proves that there is a significant relationship between contract farmers’ attitudes and their acceptance of sustainable agriculture (r=0.498, p=0.00).Contract farmers’ knowledge and their acceptance of sustainable agriculture are also shown to demonstrate a significant relationship (r= 0.348, 0.00).Additionally, there is support for a significant correlation between knowledge and acceptance of sustainable agriculture (r=0.365, p=0.00). In conclusion, farmers should have positive attitudes and adequate knowledge, and should obtain support from several parties to encourage them to embed sustainable agriculture within their farming practices

The post-harvest practice is important to maintain and prolong the shelf life of fruits and vegetable. However, farmer’s adoption towards agriculture practices is still low. This research aims to determine post-harvest adoption among fruit farmers in Johor. The study employs a Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and Theory Planned Behaviour (TPB) to evaluate the factors that influencing post-harvest practice adoption. 150 fruit farmers in Johor were chosen by using a simple random sampling technique. This study indicates that the level of performance expectations (M=4.27), effort expectations (M=4.36), facilitating conditions (M=3.95), attitude (M=4.09) and post-harvest practices adoption (M=4.33) have a high mean score. This study emphasises the importance of post-harvest practices adoption in improving and maintaining the quality of fruits. Post-harvest practices adoption could help to enhance the per capita availability of fruits because the adoption of post-harvest practises and technologies will affect the reduction in fruits losses, thus increasing the availability of fruits products.

The aim of this article is to recognize the key critical success factors (CSFs) that determine the performance of agritourism clusters using combined analytical hierarchy process (AHP)-the technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) method. The operational performance of agritourism clusters was determined using integrated approach, and 11 CSFs were initially identified through systematic literature review. Furthermore, experts validated and finalized nine CSFs that can determine the sustainable performance of agritourism network. Totally 15 experts (including practitioners and agritourism supply chain partners), were engaged in data collection process. The AHP application exhibits that destination attractiveness (D5) has the highest priority (0.156) among all the dimensions followed by local community contribution and sustainable livelihoods (D9). Furthermore, TOPSIS demonstrates that Pithoragarh (C7) has the ideal best value (0.7705) indicating that this cluster is performing the best among all the clusters followed by Almora (0.7209). The identification of CSFs to evaluate the performance of clusters in Uttarakhand, India can serve as guiding tool for the agritourism practitioners. The examination of pertinent issues with the focus on major support required, bottlenecks in adoption, key benefits of sustainable agritourism activities and most common sustainable practices are expected to provide new understanding about the sustainable agritourism business-based issues in India. The only limitation of this study is the geographic coverage and limited demography of the respondents. This study is one of the first efforts on assessing agritourism supply chain practices in India, with the special reference to Uttarakhand state.
