Abstract:The present work studies the lightweight Hybrid Aluminium Metal Matrix Nanocomposite (HAMNC) for brake rotor application. The novel HAMNC brake rotor material is fabricated by reinforcing 1 wt. % nano Boron carbide (nB4C) and 0.75 wt.% nano Titanium dioxide (nTiO2) employing ultrasonic-squeeze-assisted stir-casting process.
