Abstract:Livestock production is the largest anthropogenic methane (CH4) source globally over the decades. Enteric fermentation of ruminants is responsible for the majority of global livestock CH4 emissions. Both inventory-based models (IvtMs) and process-based models (PcMs) are extensively used to assess the livestock CH4 emission dynamics. However, the model performance and the associated uncertainty have not been well quantified and understood, which greatly hamper our credibility of the regional and global CH4 emis… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
