“…The principal source of sediment here is the Tedori River, the mouth of which is located approximately 45 km southwest of the study area. In recent decades, however, the sediment discharge from the Tedori River has decreased because of various anthropogenic anthropogenic modifications of the river basin, such as extensive sand mining and dam construction commencing in the 1960s [2,3].
