Comparison of Fog Computing & Cloud Computing

Abstract: Fog computing is extending cloud computing by transferring computation on the edge of networks such as mobile collaborative devices or fixed nodes with built-in data storage, computing, and communication devices. Fog gives focal points of enhanced proficiency, better security, organize data transfer capacity sparing and versatility. With a specific end goal to give imperative subtle elements of Fog registering, we propose attributes of this region and separate from cloud computing research. Cloud computing is … Show more

“…In order to enable technologies for fog computing in the education IoT system the most important part on which the developers need to keep focus is the fog architecture. The proposed one is a six layered architecture comprises of physical or virtual layer, monitoring layer, pre-processing layer, temporary data storage layer, security layer and transport layer [66,67]. In order to earn good academic records implementation of fog computing in education IoT system is very essential.…”

“…Cloud computing offers three primary types of service models namely Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) [3]. Cloud computing can be implemented as a layered architecture and comes in four main development models namely public, private, community, and hybrid clouds [4].…”
