Comparison of insulin infusion sites on metabolite net flux and insulin kinetics in growing euglycemic beef steers3

Abstract: Four beef steers (average BW, 246 kg) were used in a split-plot design with five bovine insulin (I) infusion rates (5, 10, 20, 40, and 80 mU.kg-1.h-1) in the main plot and two infusion sites, mesenteric (M) and jugular (J) veins, in the subplot.
