Abstract: While healthy individuals have redundant degrees of freedom of the joints, they coordinate their multi-joint movements such that the redundancy is effectively reduced. Achieving high inter-joint coordination may be difficult for upper limb prosthesis users due to the lack of proprioceptive feedback and limited motion of the terminal device.
