Abstract:This /paper uses two one-dimensional aeroacoustic benchm{k problems as a basis for comparing six numericq methods for computational aeroacoustics. The problems are a Gaussian pulse and a shock tube. Both were designed to test a method's nonlinear wave propagatibn properties. The methods that are examined are all dxplicit finite difference schemes and each includes /an artificial damping or filtering model to reduce spurious oscillations. Five of the methods are currently /used in the aeroacoustics community an… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
