Comparison of phytochemical profiles, antioxidant and cellular antioxidant activities of seven cultivars of Aloe

Abstract: Summary A comparative assessment of the phytochemical profiles and antioxidant activities of seven cultivars of Aloe was conducted to evaluate the potential health benefits of Aloe. Aloe arborescens contained the highest levels of phenolic content, total antioxidant capacity by the oxygen radical scavenging capacity assay and cellular antioxidant activity assay.
