Abstract:Background Down syndrome (DS) is strongly associated with Alzheimer’s disease (AD), attributable to APP overexpression. DS exhibits Amyloid-β (Aβ) and Tau pathology similar to early-onset AD (EOAD) and late-onset AD (LOAD).
