Comparison of the effect of ticagrelor combined with tirofiban versus clopidogrel combined with tirofiban on inflammation response and prognosis of patients with unstable angina pectoris in long term follow‐up

Abstract: To investigate the effect of ticagrelor combined with tirofiban versus clopidogrel combined with tirofiban on inflammation response and prognosis of patients with unstable angina pectoris (UA). The present prospective study included a total of 291 patients who were diagnosed as unstable UA from January 2018 to December 2019. All UA patients were divided into two groups: ticagrelor combined with tirofiban group (n = 159) and clopidogrel combined with tirofiban group (n = 132). Serum levels of C-reactive protein… Show more

“…Rehabilitation exercise training accelerates blood circulation and plaque dissolution, increases intravascular blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart, and achieves oxygen saturation, thus ensuring the structural and functional stability of cardiac function[ 27 ]. Rehabilitation training also reduces the amount of fat that accumulates in the body and enhances the physical fitness of elderly patients[ 28 ]. Psychological interventions in systematic rehabilitation training can also reduce the effects of mood fluctuations on blood pressure in elderly patients, thus reducing their cardiac load.…”

“…In this context, chronic treatment with tirofiban and other antiplatelet drugs has been shown to decrease carotid atherosclerotic plaque inflammation and reduce serum levels of inflammatory markers such as Hs-CRP, IL-6 and sICAM-1 in ACS patients [43,44]. In addition, the combination of tirofiban and other drugs has been demonstrated to have a synergistic effect and significantly attenuate the inflammation response and improve the prognosis of ACS patients [45], which may lead to stabilization of the plaque, highlighting an anti-atherogenic role of disintegrin-based antiplatelet drugs.…”
