Abstract:BACKGROUND Addition of epidural adjuvants like opioids or α2-adrenoreceptor agonists can enhance the effectiveness of local anaesthetics for surgical procedures on lower abdomen, pelvis, and lower limbs, by intensifying the block and prolonging the duration of analgesia.
