Abstract:Four indoor ornamental plants were compared for their absorption capacities in a simulated indoor environment according to the absorption rate per leaf area after 24 hours' formaldehyde treatment. Meanwhile, chlorophyll a/b ratio, relative conductivity and MDA content were measured to assess those plants' physiological responses to formaldehyde stress. The results showed that the capacities of experimental plants on removing formaldehyde were different, and the order of the plants according to the removal capa… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
