Compass

Abstract: In this paper, we describe our Computer Science Program Assessment (COMPASS) project. COMPASS uses open-source software tools to support the development and analysis of course portfolios. We use the portfolios internally to improve the quality of our undergraduate computer science curriculum, and externally to satisfy the requirements of program and university accrediting agencies. COMPASS makes it easy for instructors to build good portfolios and for the department to review and analyze them.
