“…This finding was consistent with previous research that documented the important role of people's social responsibility in promoting green purchasing (Dagher & Itani, 2014;Rahimah et al, 2018;Schuitema & de Groot, 2015). Given the strong emphasis on prioritizing social cohesion, the welfare of others (Aruta, 2021a(Aruta, , 2021bRoxas et al, 2019), and adherence to parental influence in the Philippines (Alampay, 2014;Cruz et al, 2012), Filipino parents may be modeling environmentally responsible behaviors not only to protect the natural environment but also to foster concern for the common good among the children. This finding was consistent with recent evidence (Corral-Verdugo, Pato, & Torres-Soto, 2021) suggesting that ecological behavior is not only motivated by concern for self and the planet but also by a great concern for the welfare of other people.…”

“…In contrast, people from interdependent cultures, usually East Asians and other non-WEIRD nations, tend to endorse an interdependent selfconstrual leading them to define the self as socially contingent, interconnected with others, and place great importance on social responsibility and interpersonal harmony. We reason that since interdependent cultures such as the Philippines strongly value social cohesion, harmony, and welfare of others (Aruta, 2016(Aruta, , 2021a(Aruta, , 2021bAruta et al, 2019Aruta et al, , 2020Aruta et al, , 2021Roxas et al, 2019), social responsibility can play a key role in the intergenerational transmission of green purchase attitudes in Filipino families.…”

“…Burnout among mental health service professionals is a major concern not only from the counselor's perspective, but also from the organizational and client perspective (Bardhoshi et al, 2019;Kemppainen et al, 2019). According to Roxas et al (2019), counselors are also human and they may also experience burnout, dissatisfaction, stress, and negative emotions. Although they may have the advantage of having a better knowledge about professional and personal issues, counselors are not immune to various threats to their well-being.…”
