Complete gluon bremsstrahlung corrections to the processbsl+l

Abstract: In a recent paper [1], we presented the calculation of the O(α s ) virtual corrections to b → s + − and of those bremsstrahlung terms which are needed to cancel the infrared divergences. In the present paper we work out the remaining O(α s ) bremsstrahlung corrections to b → s + − , which do not suffer from infrared and collinear singularities. These new contributions turn out to be small numerically. In addition, we also investigate the impact of the definition of m c on the numerical results. * Work partiall… Show more

“…It does not incorporate finite bremsstrahlung corrections from operators other than O 7,9,10 , which must be added explicitly. In the local OPE their effect was shown to be small, around the 1% level [20] 1 . In the SCET expansion they are both power and α s suppressed and thus beyond the order we are working at.…”

“…This inclusive decay is theoretically wellexplored. The NNLL QCD calculations for the branching ratio [58][59][60][61][62][63][64] and the forwardbackward asymmetry [65][66][67][68][69][70] have been finalised some time ago by an effort of several research groups. Even electromagnetic corrections have been already calculated [69,71,72].…”

“…The NLL calculations were completed in Refs. [10,11], and the NNLL analysis, although technically not fully complete, is at a level that the scale uncertainties have been substantially reduced, after the combined efforts of a number of groups [12,13,14,15,16].…”
