Abstract:The complete mitochondrial (mt) genome of Gavia pacifica was sequenced and characterized the circular mt genome, which constituted 37 genes (13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNAs, and 2 ribosomal RNAs) and a non-coding region (NCR). Phylogenetic analysis based on the full mt genome sequences confirmed that the Genus Gavia belongs to a monophyletic group containing the G. stellata, G. arctica, and G. pacifica.
