Complex Multi-Fuzzy Relation for Decision Making using Uncertain Periodic Data

Abstract: We introduce a new type of relations called complex multi-fuzzy relation (CMFR). The novelty of CMFR lies in the ability of complex multi-membership functions to achieve more range of values while handling uncertainty of data that is periodic in nature. The application of complex multi-fuzzy sets is then discussed in determining: the influence of modern methods of education on student performance, and the time required for the former to affect the latter. A comparison between different existing relations and C… Show more

“…If we assign the values of membership as 0 and 1, then a FR becomes a classical relation. Tamir et al [ 4 ] proposed an overview of theory and applications of CFSs, Nasir et al [ 5 ] carried out the medical diagnosis and life span of ill people using the interval-valued CFRs, Bi et al [ 6 ] studied the parallelism of CFSs, Feng et al [ 7 ] came up with the idea of multiple FRs and their application to coupled fuzzy control, and Al-Quduh and Hassan [ 8 ] used uncertain periodic data and applied the CFRs in decision makings.…”

“…Abd Ulazeez et al [25] further developed the concept of the intuitionistic fuzzy relation, which extended the traditional fuzzy relation to capture the hesitancy and indeterminacy in decision-making processes. Yousef and Nasruddin (2018) proposed the idea of complex multi-fuzzy relations specifically tailored for decision-making problems [26]. The concept of δ-equalities of complex fuzzy relations was introduced by Guangquan in 2020 [27].…”
