New technologies have made inroads in many everyday areas, but even these technologies can make a space be revalued, as is the case of museums. Museums are educational spaces, where it is important to have informative resources that are innovative to motivate visitors to enter them, either to appreciate their physical learning resources or to learn more about them quickly and interestingly. Augmented reality helps in this dynamic by showing through multimedia content the three-dimensional space of the museum, highlighting the categories and classifications of its contents, so that the visitor can quickly observe them and, therefore, feel surprised and motivated by each of the virtual tours that can be made inside the museum. This work shows that augmented reality, applied in museums, can increase tourism considerably.
