Composite structural behaviour prediction with the surrogate model and trace-based approach

Abstract: An approach for the prediction of a composite tube structural behavior is presented. An estimate of the elastic properties of the material is accessed by the development of a knowledge-based surrogate model and the use of a trace-design approach, which is compared with experimental tests. The estimate is applied to a finite element model simulation for buckling analysis using both linear and non-linear methods.
