Comprehensive analysis of cuproptosis-related lncRNAs model in tumor immune microenvironment and prognostic value of cervical cancer

Abstract: Cervical cancer (CC) is the fourth leading gynecological malignancy in females worldwide. Cuproptosis, a form of cell death induced by copper, elicits a novel therapeutic strategy in anticancer therapy. Nonetheless, the effects of cuproptosis-related lncRNAs in CC remain unclear. Therefore, we aim to investigate cuproptosis-related lncRNAs, develop a risk model for prognostic prediction, and elucidate the immunological profile of CC. Transcription profiles and clinical follow-up data of CC were retrieved from … Show more

“…Recently, increasingly studies identify cuproptosis-related lncRNA as a novel prognostic signature of numerous cancers, such as bladder cancer, cervical cancer, colon cancer (Bai et al, 2022;Wang and Xu, 2022;Xu et al, 2022). However, there is few researches focus on the Frontiers in Genetics frontiersin.org role of cuproptosis in HCC.…”

“…Increasing evidence suggests that lncRNAs, often abnormal in cervical malignancies, regulate cell cycle, apoptosis, and many other cellular processes (9). Although long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) associated with various types of cell death, including Necroptosis, Cuproptosis, and Ferroptosis, have been strongly correlated with the prognosis of cervical cancer (10,11,12), there is a noticeable gap in the research regarding the role of Disul dptosis-related lncRNAs (DRLs) in relation to cervical cancer prognosis and treatment response.…”
