Comprehensive Application of Spatial and Reasoned Thinking in Physical Education

Abstract: The traditional classroom teaching of physical education (PE) tends to be boring, stereotyped, and rigid; the teachers and students cannot choose between various teaching methods. Therefore, it is difficult to cultivate the creative thinking of students under the traditional model. To adapt to the needs of scientific development and modern society, it is important to explore a new PE model in combination with the knowledge in modern pedagogy, psychology, and kinesiology. This paper integrates the cultivation o… Show more

“…A questionnaire survey was proposed to students and parents in a certain area, and the survey data were collected to statistically analyze the data. The results showed that the new physical education teaching mode can effectively enhance students' creative thinking ability in physical education, and 89% of teachers and 72% of parents support the development of this mode [20]. Ba, Y. et al first analyzed and researched the application of deep neural networks in physical education teaching by utilizing the method of literature survey, and then, on this basis, constructed a sports online teaching platform using deep neural networks.…”

“…After teaching feedback, it affirmed the superior performance of this virtual reality physical education teaching model. Literature [11] summarized the backwardness of traditional physical education, such as boring content, single teaching mode, etc., and proposed the introduction of the spatial thinking framework into physical education. Literature [12] examined the physical fitness data of Chinese adolescents and pointed out that physical education, physical exercise, and other methods can be used to intervene to improve students' physical fitness data and emphasized the accuracy of the GBDT method used to analyze students' physical fitness data.…”

“…Constructs of spatial ability that are commonly studied are spatial visualization, mental rotation, and spatial perception [3]. Spatial reasoning skills are important for success in various science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields, such as chemistry, geology, and engineering [4], and can be expanded to enhance other coursework Spatial Strategies Employed by Blind and Low-Vision (BLV) Individuals on the Tactile Mental Cutting Test (TMCT) outside of STEM education [5] to help address the growing lack of creative-thinking skills in undergraduate education [6].…”
