Steganography, which is the art of hiding secret information, is widely used by researchers for the last few decades. However, maximum people use commercially available stenography tools due to their easy availability. In most of these tools, it is quite easy to decrypt hidden information using a different process. Hence, it is a difficult task to securely communicate personal information using this type of steganography tool. In this communication, we propose a novel encryption process of hidden information into the stage images and texts in the optical system (grating). The entire encryption process is divided into two stages. First, the images and texts are hidden into other images using the commercially available steganographic tool, Steghide, and then modulated in the optical grating system. In the second part, the resultant object is further processed by the random phase matrix. We tested in different decryption software and observed that the hidden image and text cannot be successfully decrypted. Therefore. this process can be used effectively to secure hidden information in the steganographic process.
