Abstract:The mechanical behaviors of three-dimensional angle-interlock woven composites (3DAWCs) after thermo-oxidative aging under different strain rates are imperative to retain safety in high-temperature conditions. This work presents the thermo-oxidative aging effects on strain rate sensitivity and compression failure mechanism of 3DAWCs based on the digital image correlation technique and finite element analysis. The results revealed that the compressive modulus and maximum stress of the 3DAWCs are strain rate sen… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
