Abstract:This paper explores an integration of compressive sensing, curvelet transform, and Principal Component Analysis to develop a robust gender recognition method from face images. Compressive measurements of face images leading to a significant reduction in feature space. Here curvelet transform has been used to represent the face images with prominent edges, curvatures, boundaries and to offer sparse representation to apply compressive measurements on detailed subband. To extract the feature vector, Principal Com… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
