Abstract-A method of organization planning in scientific research task based-on role is presented to content the needs of increasing abilities of task assigning and efficiency of functioning and lessening proportions of recourse deploying. A mode of scientific research organization based-on role is established, which is used to describe and restrict the entities taking on scientific researching tasks with the social properties of abilities, authorities and obligations. With this mode, a matching method of scientific research resources based-on role and task is presented, through which managing tasks and resources based on role properties are used to improve the efficiency of task implementing in scientific research.

In this paper we argue that multiagent system design can be formalized by borrowing Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering concepts and techniques such as ontologies, organization, decomposition and synthesis. We particularly focus on ontology sharing of software agents, define agencies as organizations of agents, propose a method to conceptualize the ontology of the domain using a multi-layered bipartite graph called Symbol Structure (SS) and propose a method to extract organizational information from the SS of interacting agents. This information will be used in multiagent system design and development.

Intelligent software personal assistants are an active research area with the potential to revolutionize the way that human organizations operate, but there has been little research quantifying how they will impact organizational performance or how organizations will or should adapt in response. In this chapter we develop a computational model of the organization to evaluate the impact different proposed assistant abilities have on the behavior and performance of the organization. By varying the organizational structures under consideration, we can identify which abilities are most beneficial, as well as explore how organizations may adapt to best leverage the new technology. The results indicate that the most beneficial abilities for hierarchical organizations are those that improve load balancing through task allocation and failure recovery, while for horizontal organizations the most beneficial abilities are those that improve communication. The results also suggest that software personal assistant technology will facilitate more horizontal organizations.
