Abstract:Through electrostatic potential, it is possible to analyze an electromagnetic system and find the generated electric field and charge distribution for a given setup. However, most boundary conditions prove to be impossible to solve analytically. In the following paper, we present a computational relaxation method for modeling the potential, electric field and charge density of 2D electromagnetic systems with non-trivial geometries. By performing the experimental realization of finite parallel plates, we find a… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
