Computational Science In High School Curricula: The ORESPICS Approach

Abstract: This paper presents a new approach for the introduction of computational science into high level school curricula. The approach is based on the definition of an ad hoc environment, including a programming language, suitable for this target of age. The language includes a set of simple constructs supporting both concurrency and the management of a graphical interface. The solutions of some classical problems are shown. P.M.A. Sloot et al.
