Computational Simulation on a Coaxial Substream Powder Feeding Laval Nozzle of Cold Spraying

Abstract: In this paper, a substream coaxial powder feeding nozzle was investigated for use in cold spraying. The relationship between nozzle structure and gas flow, the acceleration behavior of copper particles were examined by computational simulation method. Also, one of the nozzle was used to spray copper coating on steel substrate.
