“…They are summarized in a geographic osteolysis with blurred limit of type IC [5] which because of its aggressiveness and its rapidity of extension no The diagnosis of epithelioid angiosarcoma is exclusively anatomopathological, which must be carried out by an anatomopathologist experienced in oncology.…”

“…The radiological report shows a type IC Lodwick [5] osteolytic lesion at the level of the femoral neck ( Figure 1) and the iliac wings and cortical rupture ( Figure 2). A radiologic exploration (thoracic and abdomino-pelvic TDM, gastrointestinal endoscopy) to research a metastatic carcinoma or another localization was negative.…”

“…Since the advent of digital imaging, there have been thoughts of computer-automated diagnosis 3 . The work described presently represents a step towards that objective-it appears that a computer algorithm might be able to accurately compare serial MRI examinations of brain tumor patients.…”

“…Lesion regions were required to have membership exceeding 0.25 in any pathological tissue in either the baseline or follow-up scan. Next, the resulting spatially distinct regions of pathological tissues were subjected to a requirement that at least 20 voxels (44 or 52 mm 3 ) in each region were required to exceed a membership threshold, where the threshold was determined on a lesion-by-lesion basis by the number of voxels in the given lesion, such that large lesions with at least 100 voxels (220 or 260 mm 3 ) were required to have at least 20 voxels with 0.45 membership in pathology, and could therefore be more subtle, but smaller lesions had to be more distinct, and had to possess at least 20 voxels with a threshold membership which fell along a linear scale between 0.45 up to 0.8, with smaller lesions requiring a higher membership threshold. After regions of lesion had been located, any changing voxels detected which were within 15 voxels, of lesion thus defined were considered in the computations.…”

“…Erste Versuche zur Automatisierung komplexer radiologischer Analysen liegen etwa 50 Jahre zurück, damals wurde der Versuch unternommen, Knochentumoren systematisch zu klassifizieren [15]. Weiter entwickelt wurde die CAD mit Hilfe der digitalen Bildverarbeitung, durch die seit den 1980er Jahren der Mikrokalk von Mammakarzinomen und später Lungenrundherde bei Bronchuskarzinomen bzw.…”
