Computer-aided analysis of structural properties and epitopes of Iranian HPV-16 E7 oncoprotein

Abstract: Infection by human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV-16) is the cause of 50% or more of cervical cancers in women. The E7 oncoprotein of HPV-16 has long been known as a potent immortalizing and transforming agent. We used different servers like PseAAC, MHC_binding, MHC_II_binding and Expasy for the present computational prediction. The results for T cell epitopes showed that B1501, A0203, A0201, A0202, A6801 and DRB0405 alleles had lower IC50 than other alleles. We also predicted several peptides with the best bindi… Show more

“…79 Immunoinformatics approaches have played a vital role in the qualitative screening of multiple genomes to predict target epitopes, which provides a rational design to enhance the T-cell immune responses in a cost-effective manner. 42,80,81 The possibility of antigen identification at the molecular level has enabled sensible designing of peptide vaccines. An advantage of the epitope-based vaccines is that they have the potential to induce high dosage of immunogenicity at a lower cost.…”

“…During 2006 and in 2011, a universal vaccine with promising results for serogroup B meningococcus was identified [33,34]. Besides bacteria, this approach was tested against a variety of pathogenic organisms such as protozoan lishmania [35,36], HIV [38], influenza virus, Iranian HPV [39], and SARS-CoV [40]. In another study, B and T cell epitopes from HER2 extracellular domain (HER2 ECD) for breast cancer were predicted [41].…”
