Abstract:Reduced-height rectangular crossed waveguide cross-slot directional coupler has been designed at W band (75 GHz-110GHz) with computer aided design approach and experimentally verified. The coupler has been simulated and optimized with 3D full wave electromagnetic field simulator HFSS. Coupling of 10.5 dB is achieved with good directivity within a bandwidth of more than 10%. The experimental result closely matches with the simulation.
