Computer System for Optimal Planning of Polymer Productions

Abstract

The development of a specialized computer system for optimal planning of production activities of large-scale multi-assortment polymer enterprises and corporations is described. The system is designed to form the optimal placement of orders for equipment within the planning interval. The computer system includes a module for representing knowledge about the scheduled object, a database of orders, production lines, types and recipes of polymer materials, a base of equipment reconfiguration rules, mathematical models of various optimization methods, including a problem-oriented genetic algorithm, and a solution visualization module. During the development, methods of mathematical modeling, methods of designing databases and knowledge bases, as well as technologies for creating automated information systems were used. The proposed computer system improves the efficiency of the scheduling process for industrial polymer production
